How to Create a Voice Profile

Learn how PostAuthentic learns your unique writing style so every post sounds like you — not like AI.

What is a Voice Profile?

A Voice Profile is a detailed analysis of your writing style. PostAuthentic studies how you actually write — your tone, your rhythm, the words you favour, and the words you'd never use — and uses that profile for every post it generates for you.

The result: posts that sound like you wrote them, not like a generic AI template.

Before You Start

  • An active PostAuthentic account (your purchase is complete).
  • 3–5 writing samples — anything you wrote that sounds like you: a LinkedIn post, email, blog post, article, or extract from something longer.
  • A few minutes to think about your niche, audience, and strategic goal.

Step-by-Step

1

Paste your writing samples

In the Voice Profile section, you'll find fields for your writing samples. Paste 3–5 pieces you've written yourself — LinkedIn posts, emails, blog posts, articles, or extracts from longer pieces. These don't need to be your best work — but they should represent how you actually write when you're not trying to sound like someone else.

2

Set your niche

Enter your professional niche — for example, "B2B SaaS marketing" or "leadership development for first-time managers." This helps PostAuthentic recommend relevant topics and tailor the language.

3

Set your target audience

Describe who you're writing for — for example, "marketing leaders at growth-stage startups" or "engineering managers looking to move into VP roles." The more specific, the better the output.

4

Choose your strategic goal

Select one of five strategic goals. This shapes the type of content PostAuthentic recommends and generates for you:

  • Build Authority — Position yourself as a trusted expert
  • Drive Engagement — Spark comments and discussion
  • Generate Leads — Attract potential clients or customers
  • Build Community — Foster connection and belonging
  • Educate — Teach your audience something valuable
5

Add your professional background

Add your career experience, areas of expertise, and recurring stories or examples you use. This feeds both topic recommendations and the drafting engine — the more context you provide, the more specific and personal your generated posts will be.

6

Click "Update Voice Profile"

Click the "Update Voice Profile" button. PostAuthentic will analyze your samples and build your profile. This takes about 30 seconds. You'll see a loading state while it works.

7

Review the generated profile

Once complete, review the profile attributes — tone, rhythm, style, vocabulary preferences, and banned phrases. If something looks off, you can update your samples and regenerate.

Tips for Best Results

Use posts that performed well organically — they represent your authentic voice at its best.
Use recent posts (last 6–12 months). Writing style drifts over time.
Vary the length of your samples — a mix of short and long posts gives a richer profile.
If you write in both UK and US English, pick one and stick with it. PostAuthentic will match it.

Troubleshooting

Profile generation failed

You need at least 2 writing samples, and each sample needs to be long enough for the system to analyse (a few sentences at minimum). If your samples look adequate, wait a minute and try again — the AI service may be busy.
